Why should you insure your cat or dog?
If you have a dog or cat aged between 2 months and 7 years, we recommend insuring them. This way, you’ll be financially protected from unexpected expenses if something unforeseen happens to your furry friend.
Our four-legged friends are family members whom we love, care for, and worry about. We spend many joyful moments together, but sometimes our furry companions cause us concern and lead to significant costs when they face health issues. Unplanned vet visits, surgeries, or treatments can result in very high expenses. By insuring your pet, you'll be protected from such unexpected costs and ensure they receive the care they need.
Insurance will cover unexpected treatment costs
Did you know that the cost of treating a pet can exceed even €1000? If your dog or cat becomes ill or gets injured, you’ll be able to provide them with the best treatment options without worrying about sudden expenses. Insurance will cover treatment costs up to the sum insured, but keep in mind that the deductible specified in your policy will need to be paid by you.
You can choose a policy with your preferred treatment limit – €400 (package "Lemmik"), €700 (package "Superlemmik"), or €1000 (package "Superlemmik +"). Depending on the chosen package, you can get treatment for your pet at any veterinary clinic in Latvia, the Baltics, or Europe.
But please remember, before purchasing pet insurance, to carefully review the information about risks, coverage areas, and other terms included in each policy, so you know what is and isn’t included in the one you plan to purchase.
For example, if you plan to travel to Spain with your pet, choose the package "Superlemmik +" as it covers the entire European Union.
Important to know: We offer 3 types of pet insurance policies, each varying in coverage areas, risks, and claims limits.

- poisoning €205;
- injuries €250–2 000 and more.
Compensation in case of pet loss
Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try to do everything in our power, there are situations when we can no longer help our four-legged friend. We understand that the loss of a pet is a painful blow, and processing and coping with it takes time.
If the worst happens, and your dog or cat is stolen, lost, or dies because of an accident, we will provide you with financial support.
Important to know: Compensation for pet death, theft, kidnapping, or disappearance is only included in the packages "Superlemmik" and "Superlemmik +".
Pet causes harm to others
We can’t always predict our pets' behavior. Sometimes, even the friendliest pets can become upset and act in ways we don’t expect. Did you know that the insurance packages "Superlemmik" and "Superlemmik +" cover losses caused by your mischievous pet to third parties?
The costs you may face depend on the damage and can be as high as several thousand euros. That’s why it’s important to insure your civil liability as a pet owner.
Important to know: We do not compensate for losses caused to the owner, relatives, or others living in the same household as the insured pet.
Do you often travel, leaving your pet at home?
Pets are like bees – you never know what might happen. Unexpected illnesses or injuries can occur, sometimes right before your long-awaited vacation or business trip. In some cases, the situation can be serious, and your pet’s life may be at risk. Of course, in these moments, you’ll want to stay close, care for them, and provide support, meaning you'll have to cancel your trip.
We really hope this won’t happen to you, but in such cases, we’ll compensate you for the unused and non-refundable travel costs, such as flight tickets and hotel fees.
Important to know: Travel cancellation costs due to your pet’s illness or injury are covered only in the packages "Superlemmik" and "Superlemmik +".
